On the last day of the Michaelmas term, the dancers of Downe House presented an exciting and contemporary performance of Cinderella. Showcasing the pupils’ talents with an amalgamation of dance styles including Contemporary, Jazz, Ballet and Street Dance to a delighted audience.

It was a great privilege for us to welcome The Rt Hon. the Lord Heseltine CH to School to give what was the first of the Downe House Senior Medley Lectures this academic year.
A group of our Upper Sixth STEM students treated their fellow sixth formers, Scholars from across the School and members of the STEM subjects staff to an inspiring evening of short talks on the topic: “Modern-day problems that can be solved through inspiration from nature.”
In recent years, Downe and many other schools have placed the ‘wellbeing’ of their pupils at the heart of all they do. Our Deputy Head explores the positive impact philanthropy can have on the self-esteem and confidence of young people and why the best wellbeing programmes come from 'within'.

This weekend saw the return of the Michaelmas Concert, which had a live audience for the first time in three years!
We were very fortunate to welcome Nicole Wilson, Professor of Violin at the Royal Academy of Music, to deliver a masterclass at Downe House. This was a very special opportunity for all of the musicians in the School to watch a masterclass of this level.
The ten-year reunion for the Class of 2012 took place at the West 4th Kitchen in Parsons Green in the Café and Wine Bar run by two alumnae of 2012!
