Through tailored lectures for the Lower School, we aim to inspire our younger pupils to develop a love of learning outside the classroom and to widen their knowledge of the world and current affairs.
We also encourage our girls to enjoy a range of experiences and opportunities, including the vast array of co-curricular clubs and activities we offer. As the newest girls to the school, we understand the need to provide a chance in the classroom and beyond for our students to build strong friendships and find their own place in the vibrant and motivated Downe House community.
At 12+ all girls will spend a term at our smaller ‘farmhouse’ school in the rural community of Veyrines-de-Dommes in France. Girls develop independence whilst remaining part of a community, as well as improving spoken French in an idyllic setting. Our philosophy is to immerse the girls totally in a new culture and encourage them to be outward looking.Discover
