How can we help students stand out in a rapidly changing world?

4 June 2026

In this blog post, Mr Matt Godfrey (Deputy Head) introduces the best-selling author, researcher, and futurist Chloe Combi who will be returning to our 2026 Academic Conference as a Guest Speaker.

Chloe is considered one of the foremost generational experts in the world. Using a data-led approach and a unique approach to human research, she works with global companies, institutions, governments and schools to give insight into the future and help prepare for what’s to come and to get future-ready.

Chloe is the Independent’s Gen A and Gen Z columnist, regularly giving commentary on global media. She has an Apple #1 podcast, she wrote the first book on Generation Z, co-directed a VR-series for Meta called Weird Times and she now speaks around the world about her research and insights into the future.

At our Conference, Chloe will explain how schools can help their students stand out in a rapidly changing world.

Some of the traditional models of education – both school and higher – are framed as not being ‘future-ready’ or adequately preparing young people for the world.

Chloe will share some of her conversations with top industries and companies showing what schools and teachers are doing absolutely right and what’s in demand. She will also provide ideas on how you can make your pupils future-ready, confident and able to stand out from the competition, whatever their skills and level.

Whether you are a school leader, classroom teacher, governor, or simply someone passionate about the future of education, this is an event not to be missed. Come and join us as we reflect on what should be preserved, what must evolve, and how we can work together to shape the schools of tomorrow.

We look forward to welcoming you on 17 June.

Don’t miss out: book your place now!
