At the end of January, our Ski teams returned from the British Schoolgirls’ Ski Races in Flaine. Every girl gave it their all and we are incredibly proud of the effort and sportsmanship that our girls demonstrated while representing Downe House.
A huge congratulations are due to Lizzie (Lower Fifth) who took a Bronze in the Giant Slalom and a Silver in the Slalom. The A team came second overall in the unregistered Slalom and in the U16 Combined Results category Lizzie took first place and our team Captain Heidi was awarded second.
The team consisted of various year groups; Heidi, Lizzie, Flora and Nina (Lower Fifth) Alexandra, Ottalie and Six (Upper Fourth) and Carmen (Lower Fourth). Every girl was a wonderful representative of the School and the staff were thoroughly impressed watching each girl in their element.
