Experience days

Each year we host hugely popular experience days where younger school pupils come to us to take part in a variety of creative and sports fun days.

Experience Downe House

Downe House hosts an array of events and workshops for younger pupils to give them and their teachers an experience of what life is like at Downe House. From orchestral fun days to sports masterclasses, there is an experience for pupils of all talents and abilities, with each day geared to towards complementing the curriculum in their own school.

Orchestral Fun Day

Now an established fixture in the musical year, our 2019 Orchestral Fun Day brought together over 200 young musicians from 20 schools with 75 girls from Downe House for an exciting day of music making. Read more about our annual October Orchestral Fun Day here.

The workshop has grown enormously in popularity and is filled far in advance. Our most recent Musical Theatre day had 127 girls from eight schools create a fantastic performance of Mary Poppins.
