8 November 2022

“The highlight of my week was attending the Reunion for the Class of 2012 who met at the West 4th Kitchen in Parsons Green in the Café and Wine Bar run by two alumnae of 2012! It was a very happy evening and I never fail but to be moved by the pride they have in one another, the depth of their friendships and the variety of career paths that they have embarked on.” – Mrs Emma McKendrick, Headmistress

It is not often in life that we find ourselves in conversation with an actor, computer programmer, medic, asset manager, social policy maker, surveyor, teacher and entrepreneur (such a list does not do justice to them!) on one night! However, that is just some of the careers that our Downe House alumnae have embarked on since leaving the School in 2012!

As you can imagine there were many interesting conversations, and they are all happy to come back and share their experiences with the current pupils at Downe House to help inspire and showcase the breadth of opportunity for the next generation of Downe House graduates.

The evening was put together by our DH LINKS global alumnae and parent network, which provides invaluable careers-based knowledge, guidance and practical support to give pupil a head start, and a guiding hand on their journey beyond Downe House.
