Essence of Summer: Photography Competition Winners Announced

Before the summer holidays, the Creative Arts Department launched a photography competition with the theme “Essence of Summer.” Last week, Miss Bloor, Head of Photography, judged all the fantastic entries — and the results were revealed in assembly by Cecilia (Upper Sixth/Year 13), Head of Creative Arts.

The standard of work was exceptional, showcasing creativity and imagination across all year groups.

Sixth Form
Winner: Tammy C. – a beautiful, tranquil sunset scene capturing the calm of summer evenings.
Runner-up: Totty L. – a vibrant, energetic shot full of movement and colour.

Upper School
Winner: Maisie B. – a stunning townscape full of character and charm.
Runner-up: Abigail K. – a detailed, lively close-up bursting with life.

Lower School
Winner: Kelly W. – a beach scene that perfectly evokes the joy of summer holidays.
Runner-up: Imogen P. – a beautiful nature photograph celebrating the outdoors.
