Q&A

What were you most involved in at school?
Sport and music. I’ve competed for the Downe House Equestrian team for four years, captained both Equestrian and Cricket, and been part of the First Lacrosse and Cricket teams. I also played cello in the Symphony Orchestra in LV and UVI.

What achievement are you most proud of?
Jumping in the Hickstead main arena — it’s such a renowned space, and doing that while representing DH was a real moment.

Who inspired you the most?
My sisters — they both came to Downe House before me and set the bar high. I’ve always wanted to match (or beat) their achievements.

Favourite memory?
The Butterfly lectures — especially the build-up, guessing what they might be about, and teasing the younger girls with dramatic rumours. In one of the most recent ones, I jokingly told a Remove it was a test, and she came back afterwards grinning and said, “You lied!” It was so sweet.

Best thing about Downe?
The community. It’s such a warm, welcoming place. I’ve built amazing friendships, and the support from staff has been something I’ve really valued.

What has Downe House given you?
Opportunities that have helped me develop my resilience, empathy and perseverance. It’s shaped who I am and how I face the world.

Advice to a girl starting in September?
Shoulders back, dive in and try everything. Push the boundaries of your comfort zone — you won’t regret it.

Favourite DH meal?
Chicken Katsu — always a winner.

If you could have a superpower?
Teleportation — to avoid airport queues and get to the beach faster.

Future plans?
To work for a non-profit political research organisation.
