Lower School
Our girls continue to thrive in the Lower School, embracing new opportunities through after-school clubs, extra-curricular events, and taking on new responsibilities.
This term, Rebecca L. has taken on the role of LIV Head of Hermitage, supported by Phoebe F. as Head of Remove. Since returning from Sauveterre, our LIV Social Reps have been busy organising fun events for all our girls. Highlights included the hilarious ‘Pin the Features on the House Staff Team’ game before the first Short Exeat, and a spirited ‘Tallest Tower with Spaghetti and Marshmallows’ challenge after the long exeat.
Special congratulations to Bea, Preem, and Leila for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the Dorm Decorating competition, and to Chloe, Cher, Mila, Amelia, Clara, Arabella, and Bonnie for winning the first half-term Dorm Tidiness competition, earning Domino’s pizza as their prize!

Aisholt
On 7 February, Aisholt hosted a charity evening supporting Type One Diabetes. The night featured delicious food prepared by our kitchen staff, musical performances by talented students, and a fantastic raffle with generously donated prizes. It was a memorable evening for everyone, including parents who attended.
House Music preparations have also been a highlight. Instrumental ensembles performed The Imitation Game, vocal ensembles sang Love in the Dark by Adele, and the whole house came together for Fabulous. UV students, participating for the final year, gave energetic performances, showcasing wonderful house spirit.

The Cooking with Cowgill initiative proved popular with UIVs, and other activities included sudoku, slime-making, bubble tea, wellbeing collages, house values posters, and trips to Priors Court.
House Music was the biggest highlight this term, with AGS crowned CHAMPIONS! Awards included Best Programme (Zoe Z.), Best Production (Margaret T.), and Best Instrumental Ensemble (The Typewriter). Special thanks go to the LVIs for their leadership and hard work.

AGN
The term began with the annual Funfair, bringing rides, hot chocolate, and a lively atmosphere. UIV and LV students enjoyed socials with Radley and Winchester, and the UV and LV “Take a Break” sessions offered relaxation after exams.
Socials with Radley and Eton strengthened connections, and students also tried reeling, adding a fun twist to the calendar. House Music rehearsals ended the half-term with energetic performances, while preparations for House Dance and Gym are already underway.

Tedworth students enjoyed participating in House Music, learning dances, and seeing year groups come together. Their new Focus Space has been perfect for prep and revision, providing a cosy but spacious environment.
Evening treats, such as the ‘Dipping Things in Things’ nights, kept spirits high, while the House Staff team, especially Mrs Parsons, continued to make Tedworth friendly and welcoming.

Sixth Form
York has been bustling with activity this term, from exams and House Music to in-house events like bingo, popcorn nights, Stop the Bus, and making açai bowls. Social highlights included the annual Funfair with Radley, CalSoc events, and the Eton Book Club.
Students also welcomed Rev. Gaynor with afternoon tea, enjoyed evenings at the Sixth Form Bar, and participated in the Articulation Competition. Congratulations to Eliza for winning and Deborah as runner-up. Sports fixtures, especially in lacrosse, kept girls busy while preparing for nationals, and excitement builds for the upcoming Downe House dance competition.
It’s been a packed half-term, and we look forward to a well-deserved break before the next round of activities!
