Wellbeing at Downe House

Wellbeing has a huge focus at Downe House: knowing how to eat healthily, sleep well, exercise, relax and manage stress are every bit as important as other aspects of School life. We are keen to give your daughter the toolkit to find balance in her life and the self-awareness to ask for help when she needs it. We believe that this will help to prepare your daughter for the ever changing and highly competitive world in which we live.

Our Finding Balance programme includes yoga, mindfulness and a range of techniques and tips to ensure that the energy and pace of boarding life have a natural counterpart, where relaxation, fun and stillness have their place. We also have in place a range of experienced staff to whom girls can turn for help with specific worries or issues, so that she can feel assured of advice and support at any stage in her School journey.
