Q&A 

What were you most involved in at school?
Music has been at the heart of my time at Downe House. I’ve been part of every ensemble since Remove, from magical Christmas concerts in Kensington to St John’s and Founder’s events. I loved leading House Music for Tedworth and later being Co-Head of Music in my final year. Musical theatre was another highlight — performing in Fame and Amélie taught me teamwork and stagecraft. I also represented DH in senior hockey and tennis. 

What achievement are you most proud of?
Being awarded the Olive Willis Award for outstanding overall contribution to school life. It was such an honour to be recognised for everything I’d poured into my time here. 

Who inspired you the most?
Mrs McKendrick. She’s hardworking, passionate, kind and someone I aspire to be like. 

Favourite memory?
Watching our Headmistress dance to the Jazz Band on the last night of Founder’s Weekend 2024 — such a joyful moment. 

Best thing about Downe?
Being in an all-girls environment that truly supports each other to be our best. 

What has Downe House given you?
The confidence to try new things, a greater knowledge of the world, and a desire to live and work internationally. 

Advice to a girl starting in September?
Get involved in as much as you can and take every opportunity — the variety here is what makes it so special. 

Favourite DH meal?
Teriyaki salmon and noodles. 

If you could have a superpower?
Time travel — I’d love to explore the past and the future. 

Future plans?
To combine my interest in business with psychology — possibly in management consulting or industrial-organisational psychology.
