Q&A

What were you most involved in at school?
While I wasn’t the most musical or sporty, I loved throwing myself into House life, charity events and chapel. Bringing people together and building community has been my favourite thing.

What achievement are you most proud of?
Winning the Gwatkin Cup for contribution to House life. I poured my heart into Tedworth, so being recognised for that meant a great deal.

Who inspired you the most?
The teachers — their encouragement, challenge and support have shaped who I am today.

Favourite memory?
Evenings in the common room — board games, hot chocolate, and laughter with friends and staff. Those moments are irreplaceable.

Best thing about Downe?
The House spirit. There’s nothing like the buzz of the PAC during a House event.

What has Downe House given you?
More than just an education — it’s given me resilience, lifelong friendships, and the confidence to lead with empathy.

Advice to a girl starting in September?
Everyone feels nervous at first. Give it time, say yes to things, and enjoy the moments — they go by faster than you think.

Favourite DH meal?
Butter chicken with rice and apple crumble for pudding. Unbeatable.

If you could have a superpower?
Teleportation — instant travel (and no excuses for being late).

Future plans?
To work in pharmaceuticals, helping develop medicines that can make a real difference.
