Q&A

What were you most involved in at school?
Drama has been a huge part of my Downe House life — I’ve performed in over ten productions and loved every one. It helped me grow in confidence and learn to express myself. I also danced with the Downe House Dance Company, which built my stage presence and self-discipline.

What achievement are you most proud of?
Becoming Deputy Head Senior. I always admired the older girls who led with kindness and confidence. Being given that responsibility myself felt incredibly meaningful.

Who inspired you the most?
My sisters, Dara and Torera, who also went to Downe. They supported me through every step and have always been role models, especially seeing them thrive after school.

Favourite memory?
Fame the Musical. The rehearsals, the cast, the costumes — it was all such fun and brought me close to people I’ll never forget.

Best thing about Downe?
The freedom to be yourself. I’ve always felt like I could be fully me here — and that’s something I’ll take with me.

What has Downe House given you?
Confidence. Whether it’s interviews, tours or just everyday conversations, I know how to express myself clearly and professionally.

Advice to a girl starting in September?
Be open, be yourself and say yes to everything — it goes by quickly, and you’ll want to soak it all in.

Favourite DH meal?
Waffle fries and chicken nuggets — and chocolate cake with cream, of course.

If you could have a superpower?
Teleportation! Being able to pop home to Lagos for a nap or dinner would’ve been amazing.

Future plans?
I’m drawn to law, policy or something fast-paced in New York — I’m excited to see where it all takes me.
