On Thursday 17^th September hundreds of girls took to the Murray Centre, adorned with bright stalls and colourful displays to explore the variety of clubs, societies and new opportunities on offer at Downe House.

Throughout the day the Murray centre was alive with colourful displays as staff and students showcased the breadth of co-curricular clubs & activities. From the law society to computing, boardgame to Philosophy. The fair demonstrated to all the girls that whether they’re looking to pursue a long-standing interest, develop a new skill or simply try something different there is always a place to do it at Downe House.

The fair also highlighted the important role that our clubs and societies play in school life. Beyond developing skills and knowledge they provide students the ability to build confidence, form friendships and pursue interests outside of their studies. This was something our own student leaders were keen to emphasise as they answered questions, shared their experiences and encouraged others to get involved.

It was great getting to see everything on display at the Clubs and Societies Fair. Everyone was really welcoming and it was great to hear about all that was on offer for the year ahead!
