The serious business of education was temporarily suspended at Downe House last weekend, replaced by the thrills of our annual Funfair for the whole school community.
The whizzing Waltzer, spinning Sizzler, and soaring Superstar provided plenty of screech-inducing exhilaration, while dodgems, Hook-a-Duck, inflatables, and giant Football Darts offered a gentler way to join in the fun. Hot chocolate, candyfloss, and popcorn kept spirits high despite the wintry weather.
We were delighted to welcome 11+ offer holders on Saturday to meet our students, Upper Fourth girls were joined by Winchester and Radley, and on Sunday, 13+ offer holders joined our girls in the afternoon. Staff, families, and in the evening, Sixth Form students enjoyed a social with Radley. All adding to the buzz of excitement over the weekend.
As Chloe (LIV) and Ching (Remove) reflected,
The fun fair was an amazing experience…we loved that there were a range of rides going from thriller rides to chiller rides. Overall, this experience was amazing and can’t wait for next year!
