Assessment Days

Assessment at 11+, 12+ and 13+ is seldom easy, but we believe we are more likely to recognise those girls who will benefit from the kind of education we can offer, if they have the opportunity to take part in a whole variety of activities (for example drama, design technology and games) which often reveal more than can be demonstrated in written papers alone! Girls will also have an interview with the Headmistress and complete an academic task.

Following the Assessment Day, each girl's general all-round performance is carefully considered and offers of places are then sent out. These offers are conditional upon satisfactory results being achieved in the Common Entrance examinations, which are sat in each girl's own school as the second stage of the assessment. Potential scholars are also identified or confirmed after the Assessment Day and, if this is relevant to your daughter you will be sent further details about the scholarship procedure.

Invitations to the Assessment Days will be sent at the end of the summer term and Head Teachers reports requested from the current school on acceptance of the invitation.
