“Computer Science is no more about computers than astronomy is about telescopes.”

We firmly believe that having an excellent understanding of how to use technology as well as how the technology itself works is vital. It is incredibly important for us to prepare our pupils to flourish in an ever-changing digital world – and one which exists beyond the classroom walls.
We teach online safety and how to find a balance in the use of technology. We also open new horizons by giving our pupils the opportunity to be creators, not simply users, of technology.
We focus on using international standard systems, like Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft OneNote, to further prepare pupils for life outside education as they learn to manage their workload and organisation. In lessons we meet the national curriculum and include programming and a range of other tools in our teaching. We extend this even further by offering internationally recognised certifications which gives girls valuable computing experience for the future world of work.
Computer Science certifications:
We not only offer girls the chance to work towards certifications, but we also deliver internationally recognised knowledge by injecting Computer Science into the Key Stage 3 curriculum as well as teaching Computer Science at GCSE.
By creating skilled, collaborative, creators of technology, we are giving our pupils an excellent foundation for their future studies and beyond.
