The Berkshire A Lacrosse team won the West Counties Tournament on Saturday, 10 November, at St. Swithun's. The team is a combined team of pupils from Downe House (11), Queen Anne's (4), and St.Bart's (3). The first match was against Gloucestershire, Somerset and Avon. After 10 minutes Berkshire was 4-0 down. However, after half time, the team re-grouped and won 7-5. They then beat Monmouthshire by 12 goals, Hampshire & Oxon by 4 goals and then a final convincing win against Wiltshire and Dorset, 12-4.

It was a wonderful team performance and 11 pupils from Downe House (namely Eliza Watson, Isabel Brown, Ellie Hillier, Grace Wordsworth, Octavia Wallace, Flo Dowler, Polly Goodman, India Kary, Eloise Sarre, Georgie Revell and Cicely Colthurst) were selected to attend the U19 West Trials. The Trials will take place at Downe House on Sunday, 25 November. The Berkshire B U19 team also won their tournament. There were 5 Downe House girls representing this team. Well done to Berkshire A and B teams who were both convincing winners in the West Counties Tournament.
