We are delighted to announce that The Queen has appointed former Downe House pupil Annabel Pilling (DH 1991) to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Kenneth Clarke QC MP.
District Judge Annabel Pilling was called to the Bar (M) in 1995. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Adjudicator for the Road User Charging Tribunal in 2004, as a Deputy Chairman for the Information Tribunal in 2005, as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2006 and as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal General Regulatory Chamber in 2008. She was also appointed as a Deputy Chairman for National Security Appeals in 2009 and as a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal, Administrative Appeals Chamber in 2010.
