On Sunday 26th February six LVI economists spent a wonderful day at Winchester College working on a variety of economic topics.

In the morning a stimulating international trade game that generated heated discussion and much learning was followed by excellent presentations that participants had worked on collaboratively for two weeks before the event, evaluating arguments in Cambridge Economist Ha Joon Chang’s book ’23 Things They Don’t Tell You About Capitalism’.

A lovely lunch was followed by a thorough survey of Winchester’s coffee shops focusing on economic issues including market structure and competition.
