Intech Science Centre visit

On Sunday, 3 February, a group of Remove and LIV girls made a trip to Intech Science Centre and Planetarium in Winchester.

Running from demonstration to demonstration, the girls tried all the wonderful activities and learned a good deal about how the world works. Whether it was creating a tornado in a water column, building earth-quake proof structures, or running in a 30 metre dash as part of the science of sport exhibit, the girls really enjoyed their time in the Science Centre.

Then it was time to step into the Astrium Planetarium, the UK’s largest digital planetarium. With two shows, one on alien life and the other on astronauts, the girls enjoyed their flight into space and through the solar system. Particular highlights were the journey to Jupiter’s moon Europa and its deep ocean, and learning what it takes to be an astronaut.
