Once again the annual Prep Schools Orchestral Fun Day attracted almost two hundred young people from many of our feeder schools, combining together for a day of music making in the Performing Arts Centre, Concert Room and adjoining classrooms.

From the moment our visitors stepped off their respective coaches and mini buses, Downe House girls from the Lower School acted as hosts and participated in the large orchestra. With no preparation prior to the event, the standard of performance was excellent and the concert which ended the day was fully appreciated by the audience of parents and friends.

Schools represented this year were Bute House, Broomwood Hall, Cheam, Brockhurst and Marlston, Exeter Cathedral School, Thomas’s (Battersea), Thomas’s (Clapham), The Manor, The Oratory and Garden House.
