The £1 million mark has been reached!

Downe House were very proud and honoured to join forces with parents, alumni, staff and friends of Radley College and St Mary’s Calne to support the Armed Forces Fund at the spectacular Silver Ball on Friday, 18th November.

Planit’s Supernova venue in the Embankment Gardens was nothing short of stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for this very glamorous evening. Over £250,000 was raised on the night which was a triumphant effort by all involved! The evening was both entertaining and moving and a true credit to Richard Huntingford, Anthony Robinson and the wonderful Silver Ball committee.

Thank you to the Downe House parents, past and present, who attended and so generously gave on the night, to those who pledged funds this year and to the parents and alumni who donated prizes for the event. It is with enormous gratitude and pride that we announce that the Armed Forces Fund has reached the £1 million goal for 2011.
