The Cake Stall at the market in Sarlat has beaten all our charity records and 520 euros goes towards the total this term in Veyrines!

With the support of the Rotary Club in Sarlat, who had read of our fundraising for the Children's Hospital, at Purpan, Toulouse, in the newspaper, and after a mammoth bakeathon when we made hundreds of cakes and biscuits with the help of the staff, the first wave of girls headed for this prestigious market at 6.30am on Saturday morning to take up our stand.

It was a wonderful experience for all concerned. The girls were praised for their commitment and professionalism. We also sold friendship bracelets and pencils decorated with felt flowers.

We have been invited to take the stall again next term - so another first for Veyrines has passed into tradition!
