In November of last year, around 35 girls entered the inaugural Berkshire Singer of the Year Competition, run by Berkshire Maestros.

On Sunday 19 May, after successfully winning through a Preliminary and Semi-Final round, two Downe House girls will take part in the Finals of this competition at Reading Town Hall.

Janice Kwong (U4) will compete in the Opera section of the Competition and Emily Craig (U5) will sing in both the Opera and Classical categories.

Both are accomplished musicians and performers and we wish them every success in the competition.
