It was standing room only in the School Chapel for the Remembrance Day service this year.
The prayers were themed around our awareness that we should remember not only those that fought and died, but also those who fought and lived - those still suffering from the physical and mental effects of war.
Elizabeth Bosson, LVI, led the many volunteers from the Lower Sixth who contributed to, or performed in the service. The girls should be proud of their efforts as they created an extremely moving service. The prayers read in several different languages by the girls were particularly affecting.
'Staff and parents alike were very complimentary. Well done to all those involved.' Dr Andrea Roberts, Housemistress - York (South)
