India Kary (U6) and her sister Lara (L5) completed the huge personal challenge of reaching the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro on August 22nd 2013.
The girls flew out on August 14th to acclimatise and began the ascent on the 17th. Incredibly just five days later they summited.
Both girls are thrilled to have made it to the summit alongside their father and cousin. India and Lara went further, up one last haul to Uhura point with their cousin. With only 44% of climbers who make it to the very top - you can only imagine how proud of them we all are!
Mrs Kary reported "they have been sleeping a lot since their return, waking only to eat voluminous quantities of food...the only thing the girls wanted, was a full roast with all the trimmings and 'lots of gravy and potatoes'. They'd obviously been dreaming about it!"
Congratulations India and Lara - what an achievement!
