The 1st Lacrosse team took part in the West Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday, 13 October at St. Swithun's, Winchester. The team progressed easily to the top division by winning their 3 matches in the morning.

It was a round robin final with Downe House and Godolphin winning all their matches until the final game. Downe House just needed to beat Godolphin to win the West Schools Tournament.

The final result was 1-1. Though Downe had so much possession in the last 4 minutes they could not convert. So Downe and Godolphin finished equal on points and it had to go on goal average. Godolphin retained the trophy on a narrow gain on goal average.

From the Downe House team, Eliza Watson and Ellie Hillier have been selected to represent the England U19 team on 3 November. They will be playing Princeton University. Congratulations to both of them on their selection and good luck!
