In August, James and Georgina Johnston are competing in the Mongol Derby, the world's longest horse race - 35 riders racing self-guided on semi-wild ponies for 1000km across the Mongolian steppes! - in order to raise money for the Radley Foundation Armed Forces Fund.
Inspired by the loss in Afghanistan of two Old Radleians, the Armed Forces Fund of the Radley Foundation was set up to provide educational bursaries for sons and daughters of killed and wounded Service men and women of all ranks with boys going to Radley and girls to Downe House or St Mary's Calne. They are quite literally, at the very least, risking the skin off their backsides in the world’s most grueling horserace, boasting a 31% attrition rate (not including a few who finished with broken ribs)! So please support them along the way and dig deep and donate now to this extremely worthwhile charity. http://www.justgiving.com/MongolDerby2013-ArmedForcesFund
