On the final day of the Lent term 52 girls from the Remove to the U4 left for the Bay of Naples. Upon arriving in Italy we started our trip with a visit to Solfatara, an active crater part of the Campi Fleigrei supervolcano.

We climbed Vesuvius in complete cloud cover but then enjoyed ‘T shirt’ weather in the afternoon whilst we scavenger hunted our way around Pompeii and enjoyed ice creams.

Our final day involved a visit to a working farm nestled into the hills surrounding Sorrento, watching a mozarella demonstration and then tasting the produce, followed by a guided tour around Herculaneum.

A thoroughly enjoyable trip!
