Music Scholarships
The Director of Music, Mr Anthony Cain, can be contacted through his PA on checksfielda@downehouse.net. Music Scholarships and Exhibitions may be awarded annually and are discretionary. The auditions and interviews take place at Downe House in February of the year of entry. The Awards are open to candidates at 11+, 12+ and 13+ entry, and at Sixth Form level.
Music Scholars will receive free tuition in a maximum of two instruments, which may include the voice, up to a maximum of 30 lessons per year. Candidates who are successful in gaining an award, but require greater remission in fees in order to be able to take up their place may apply for a Music means-tested Bursary.
