Eligibility and Procedures

Candidates must be under 14 on the 1st September following the examination.  Scholarship examinations require no special preparation. The questions are devised to test potential and ability rather than achievement alone. There is no examination fee. However girls who are not already entered for the school must register before sitting for an award.  Under 14 (13+) candidates will sit examination papers at their own schools. If shortlisted, they will be invited to attend Downe House for interview by the Headmistress and other relevant members of staff.
