Boarding

Irrespective of when girls join, at Downe House we pride ourselves on the quality of the pastoral care available to our students. Each of the three stages of our boarding, Lower School, Upper School and Sixth Form, are tailored to meet the needs of our girls so that in all of our boarding houses a happy, caring and purposeful environment is provided.  In each of our boarding houses, opportunities exist for girls to build strong friendships, not only with girls in their own year groups, but across the school community, and we expect relationships between staff and students to be positive and mutually respectful.
