Academic Enrichment for our most senior girls
It is in the Sixth Form that academic enrichment takes on a special meaning.
As part of our extensive Careers Programme, girls benefit from an exceptionally varied guest speaker programme, with keynote speakers from industry, commerce, the arts, media and the professions visiting the school to talk about their careers.
Additionally, highly contemporary lectures, delivered by speakers of international fame, provide a compelling insight into current and global affairs.
Through an extensive Peer Support programme, Sixth Formers gain the opportunity to assist in the smooth running of the whole school community.
Voluntary work underlines the importance of community service. Extensive links with overseas schools and charities provide opportunities for gap year exchanges, charity work and fundraising activities.
Our Young Enterprise Scheme creates a fantastic opportunity for girls to develop sound business skills.
Activities such as ‘Model United Nations’ provide an in-depth understanding of effective communication, globalisation and diplomacy – and programmes such as The Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award build fitness, initiative and emotional maturity. |
