“Sport plays a big part in the Downe House curriculum. There are usually sports matches every Wednesday and Saturday. All evenings involve something to do, such as ballet, hip-hop or fencing. Music is another part of school life - there are different orchestras that you can be part of. Downe House is great fun and I’m sure that you will enjoy yourself very much!”
Bringing learning to life at every opportunity, we provide an outstanding range of enrichment opportunities throughout the school year.
Visiting artists, authors, musicians, sports professionals and more add an extra special dimension to the curriculum.
Talks by well-known guest speakers from business, politics and many other facets of life encourage lively debate and provide a fascinating insight into the world we live in.
School concerts, productions and musical performances boost confidence and encourage teamwork.
At the same time, history trips, geography excursions, art trips, maths challenges, theatre visits, choral tours, exchanges, charity work, sporting expeditions and overseas adventures ensure that school life is always varied.
